X-ray imaging is one of the most established and widely used diagnostic tools in medicine. It produces images of the internal structures of your body — particularly bones, joints, and certain soft tissues — using a small amount of ionizing radiation. At Garden State Medical Group, we offer digital X-ray services in-house for fast, accurate results.

Digital X-rays produce high-resolution images that are immediately available for your provider to review. Common reasons for X-rays include evaluating bone fractures, joint injuries, arthritis, spinal conditions, chest abnormalities, and infections. X-rays may also be ordered to monitor healing after a fracture or surgical procedure.

The procedure is quick, painless, and typically takes only a few minutes. You will be positioned by a technician, and the X-ray machine will capture one or more images of the affected area. There is no recovery time, and you can resume normal activities immediately after. The radiation exposure from a standard X-ray is very low and considered safe for routine diagnostic use.

Having X-ray capabilities on-site at our North Bergen and Secaucus offices means that you can receive imaging and results during a single visit in many cases. This eliminates the inconvenience of scheduling separate appointments at outside imaging centers and helps your provider make treatment decisions more quickly.
