Doctors of internal medicine—also known as primary care physicians, or PCPs—diagnose and treat common diseases and conditions in adults, including issues with the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive system.
In addition to diagnosis and treatment, our PCPs at Garden State Medical Group promote good health by teaching patients about wellness, such as why it is important to exercise, eat healthy or quit smoking. They also provide valuable information about mental health, substance abuse and issues that specifically affect men and women individually (e.g., prostate concerns for men).
Our PCPs coordinate with surgeons, obstetricians and other physicians to effectively treat patients and ensure they receive the best care possible. They also coordinate office, clinic and hospital visits as well as intensive and nursing home care.
